Sure, why not? Illinois is one of only a couple states that has no conceal and carry law (the other is Wisconsin with California restricting it). So far there hasn’t been any “wild west” showdowns like everyone predicted, and many people are safer because they can defend themselves against predators even when they are away from their home. Guns and conceal and carry are a way to level the playing field so that normal law abiding citizens have a chance against criminals.
And a little FYI, criminals don’t bother to get a conceal and carry permit to carry their guns, they just do it.
