May 12th – “The Grieving Process” – The Counseling Center at Proctor Hospital will present, free of charge, “The Grieving Process” with presenter Pamela Shuck-Hoehne, NCC, LCPC, RDDP. The program will be held from 6:30-8:00 pm. in Classroom I of the Proctor Professional Building (adjacent to the Hospital). For those who’ve experienced loss of a loved one from death, divorce, or a significant change of life event. This program may help create some better understanding of the grieving process. May 20th – May Seniors on the Go – The Hult Health Education Center and Proctor Hospital will present this program at the Hult Health Education Center. The educational program is free to seniors and features a presentation by Donald McElroy, MD, FACC, HeartCare Midwest from 10:30-11:45 a.m. He will discuss cholesterol, lipid medications and the role of nutritional choices and the importance of exercise. Pharmacist Wade Siefert will discuss vitamins, drug nutrient depletion and contraindications from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Siefert is affiliated with Preckshot Professional Pharmacy. Lunch is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. To register call (309) 692-6650.

May 26th – Proctor Hospital Sponsors Free Medicare Help Desk – In association with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois,’ a free Medicare Help Desk will be the fourth Wednesday of each month, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., in the Lobby at Proctor Hospital.
