Keep Peoria Beautiful was the recipient of a grant from the Illinois EPA. With these grant funds the attractive landscaped areas created last year at the entrance/exit ramps of I-74 by Northwoods Mall along Sterling Avenue were added to. The project was enhanced by installing more flowers, native grasses, flowering shrubs, and evergreens. Additional trees were planted in the median along Sterling. Handsome brick edging was also placed around the beds, as well as attractive cobblestone.
