Jan. 7 – 9 – The 87 Semi-annual Mid-America Antique Show – at Exposition Gardens, 1601 W. Northmoor Rd. Hours are: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Fri.; 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sat.; and 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sun. Admission: $6.00 ( good for all 3 days). Parking: free. Jan. 8 – Heartland Festival Orchestra – New Year’s Greeting to benefit the Alzheimer’s Assoc. – Central IL Chapter. 7:30 p.m. at the Caterpillar Performing Arts Center – Five Points, Washington, IL. $29 per person; $7 per student. Call 309-681-1100.

Jan. 13 – Peoria County Genealogical Society Meeting  features Jon Austin, General Manager of Springdale Cemetery, an avid genealogist and professional historian. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at the Genealogy Library, 101 State. St. Austin will explain the application process for membership in the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Illinois. 

Jan 13 – Fine Arts Society’s Lecture – Presents Dr. William Wallace with “Michelangelo: Artist and Aristocrat” at Lakeview Museum. 9:25 a.m. coffee & cookies. 10:00 a.m. Lecture. Adults $10/ students $2/ free for Soeiety members. Call 243-8979 for more info.
