Methodist Offers ‘Girls Night Out Mammogram’

Methodist Medical Center offers  a unique opportunity for women to get their annual mammograms during “Girls Night Out.” Except for the mammogram itself, the evening is free to participants and will include an evening that offers appetizers, dessert, Yoga and beauty makeovers. “Girls Night Out” will be held at Methodist at North Allen Road, Route 6 & Allen Road, on March 28 and again on April 4 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifeline. Beginning at age 40, the American Cancer Society recommends annual mammogram and medical breast exam every year. “Girls Night Out” offers women a special evening with friends, fun and good health while taking advantage of a woman’s best weapon against breast cancer. This facility features the latest digital mammography equipment offering faster, clearer, and more comfortable breast imaging.

To reserve your place at one of these two events, call 672-4600 and leave a message including your preferred date, your phone number and how many will be attending. A Methodist representative will call back with confirmation. Most insurance companies as well as Medicare cover the cost of an annual screening mammogram.
