Seniors on the Go Health Fair March 17 at the Hult Center

Speakers, Exhibits, Screenings, Door Prizes

The Hult Center for Health Education and Proctor Hospital are pleased to present the 2011 Seniors on the Go Health Fair, Thursday, March 17 from 7:30 -11:30 a.m. at the Hult Center for Health Education at 5215 N. Knoxville Ave., on the campus of Proctor Hospital. Admission is free.

There will be a variety of exhibits from area organizations and businesses, guest speakers, comprehensive free and discounted screenings, and door prizes.

Refreshments are available. Parking is free and is available in the Hult Center lot and HeartCare Midwest parking deck where shuttle service will be provided.

Guest speakers and topics include:

8:15 a.m. Heart Healthy Living and Vascular Disease – Jennifer Ash, M.D., Heartcare Midwest, S.C.

9:15 a.m. Medication Management – John Preckshot, RPh, Preckshot Professional Pharmacy

10:15 a.m. Healthy Eating – Susan Waltrip, MS, RD, LDN, Hy-Vee Nutrition Educator

Free health screenings and assessments (no appt. necessary):

· New this year – hand-held Doppler blood flow screening

· New this year –screening for Neuropathy of the feet

· Glaucoma

· Hearing

· Grip strength and balance

· Blood pressure

· Body composition analysis

Fasting Blood Chemistry Profile* just $30 ($240 value)

Pneumonia shots $45 (Medicare B will reimburse)

Bone Density test $12 (up to a $65 value)

*This is a twelve-hour fasting blood chemistry profile. Only water, black decaf coffee and decaf tea is allowed prior to the screening.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
