Food Fight Invites Amateurs to Battle with Top Chefs in Meals on Wheels Fundraiser

There’s a food fight coming to Peoria and you can throw your chef hat into the ring to compete with some of our area’s top chefs.

Neighborhood House is sponsoring its first Food Fight to stop hunger on Thursday April 24th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center. The event will begin with a live auction for a spot in the competition. The highest bidder will get a chance to compete against chefs from nine local restaurants to make the best Meals on Wheels entree.

Participating restaurants include Harvest Cafe, Table 19, Edge by Dustin Allen, Eurest Dining, Centerplate, Madison’s on the Square, Johnny’s Italian Steak House, Cracked Pepper Catering and Chef Doug Robinson.

The live auction will also feature a chance to bid for two seats at the celebrity judges table. Food Fight will raise money for three Neighborhood House programs: Meals on Wheels, Critters Meals on Wheels for the seniors’ pets and a summer feeding program for children.
