Gen Z’er to deliver Clean Water Celebration keynote

Testa

Hannah Testa, 16 and a member of Generation Z, considers global climate change the major problem of our era. She is keynote speaker at the Sun Foundation Clean Water Celebration April 29.

Following the deadly mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, students took on the gun debate. Following heightened understanding of global climate change, teens are again taking the lead where adults have failed.

One of the most outspoken, charismatic teen leader will deliver the keynote address in Peoria at the 27th annual Clean Water Celebration sponsored by the Sun Foundation.

Hannah Testa, 16, maintains an international schedule giving talks and leading discussions worldwide on issues that impact the planet.

She told Forbes magazine, “All businesses have a responsibility in the world. The food industry must provide healthy food in sustainable packaging. Otherwise, we are putting profit ahead of people, which disproportionately impacts disadvantaged people and ends up costing us more in the long run in government services and healthcare expenses.”

She started Hannah4Change advocating for environmental justice and sound public and corporate policy.
Testa was recruited for the keynote by Karen Zuckerman, chairwoman of Clean Water Celebration sponsored by the Sun Foundation.

The UN report on climate change issues in October 2018 called for rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society or extreme weather will force displacement of millions of people.

This is the future Testa and her Generation Z inherits.

Her keynote will be delivered April 29 at Peoria Civic Center.
