Now on permanent loan: Preston Jackson’s “Bronzeville to Harlem: An American Story.” Peoria Riverfront Museum, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

On permanent loan, these bronze sculptures showcase the stories of American migration and immigration, hope and opportunity, freedom and the struggle for equality.

Now through May 2: “101 Treasures of the Peoria Riverfront Museum.” Art works, science objects, historic relics and stories of achievement. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Now through April 17: “Guns in America,” Preston Jackson Gallery, Contemporary Art Center, Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Photographer Jeff Corwin’s conflicted feelings over finding his father’s gun collection and his convictions about gun control fueled 18 highly charged photographs illustrating the violence America faces every day.

Now through April 17: “Making Faces at the World,” Gallery 3R, Contemporary Art Center, Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Richard Wehrs has spent 35 years feeding his fascination to convey exaggerated facial expressions in ceramic sculpture. Each piece has an extensive back story and a twisted sense of humor.

Artist Talk: April 2, Contemporary Art Center, 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., ceramic sculptor Richard Wehrs will share insights into the meaning behind his ceramic pieces “Making Faces at the World” followed by a demonstration at 7 p.m.

Upcoming Exhibits:

May 29 to Sept. 6: “T.rex: The Ultimate Predator.” Peoria Riverfront Museum. This traveling exhibit comes from the American Museum of Natural History in New York City and includes life-sized models, fossils, casts and a shadow theater re-creation of an epic battle.

April 30 to June 19, “Brave Enough to Be It Art Exhibit,” Preston Jackson Gallery, Contemporary Art Center.
