RONALD McDONALD TO HELP FAMILIES AT THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF ILLINOIS

Posted by Debbie Adlof on July 24th, 2008

Ronald McDonald is coming to town this Friday and he WILL make himself available to the media and it won’t cost you a dime to take his picture!

This Friday, July 25 at 2:30pm in the 4th floor conference room in the Hillcrest Building at Children’s Hospital of Illinois, Ronald McDonald and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois will announce plans to partner with the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. It’s a partnership that will help families of the sickest kids in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the new Milestone Building.    It’s a first for central Illinois and the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.  This partnership will help create sleeping rooms and a kitchen inside the hospital.  The sleeping rooms will be just around the corner from the Neonatal Intensive Care unit so that families can rush to their child’s side in case of an emergency.

‘The Family Suites and Kitchen’ are a reflection of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois and the Children’s Hospital of Illinois commitment to providing a family centered environment to promote healing.  Ronald McDonald House and the owner/operators of the 100 McDonald’s restaurants in our area are proud to bring this valuable resource to the families living in our region.  For more info on Ronald McDonald House Charities you can go to: http://www.rmhcspringfield.org PHOTO OPS with Ronald McDonald visiting patient rooms will be available!    Contact Amy Paul at 229-7175 for more info.  Parking instructions are attached.  Please DO NOT PARK on Glen Oak at the main entrance by security.
