The Peoria County Genealogical Society general meeting will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Lakeview Branch of the Peoria Public Library, 1137 W. Lake Ave., in the south meeting room. Meeting begins at 7 p.m.
The meeting will be a Footprint Forum aimed at helping people learn about genealogy, getting started, reacquainting others with useful websites, helping get past brick walls, or rekindle an interest in family history. We will have presentations, discussions, brochures, handouts and an exchange of information.
There is ample parking at the library, and the library is handicapped accessible.
