The OSF Saint Francis Centers for Breast Health feel it is important for women to take care of their overall health. To help all women have that opportunity, a health fair will be held at the Breast Center at the Center for Health on Route 91 on October 8, 2009 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
Among the services offered that evening will be free mammograms offered through a grant from the National Breast Cancer Foundation to uninsured or underinsured women with low income. A $15.00 grocery card will be given to those who qualify and participate in the free mammography offer.
The health fair will also offer the opportunity for a bone density screening, blood pressure check, breast health, stroke, heart health, and nutrition and weight management information.
Even if women do not qualify for the free mammogram, they are encouraged to attend the health fair. Healthy snacks and refreshments will be offered throughout the evening.
If transportation is needed, it will be available, free, from two locations: The International Grocer at 706 NE Perry and Grace Baptist Church at 405 North Richard Pryor Place.
