The Peoria City/County Health Department (PCCHD) will be sponsoring an Osteoporosis Heel Screening on Friday, March 19, 2010, from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at The Institute for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IPMR), 719 North William Kumpf Boulevard, Peoria.
This FREE screening is for any woman over the age of 50 or with any of the following risk factors:
*Family History of Osteoporosis
*Caucasian or Asian
*Under 130 pounds

*Prevent bone loss, fractures, and falls
*Get stronger with weight-bearing exercise
*Limit alcohol consumption, and
*Stop smoking.
