Schock Announces Academy Nominations

Congressman Aaron Schock (R-IL) announced today that he has nominated the following students to a military academy for the class entering the fall of 2010.

Schock nominated these students for attendance at the mentioned academies after a highly competitive application and interview process. Final determination on admission is made by the individual academy.

The process is not political and applicants do not have to personally know their Congressman to be nominated. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree and most are commissioned as the lowest rank for a commissioned officer in each of the branches of the military.

“These young men and women all have character, integrity, motivation and pride, and I am proud to nominate them,” said Schock. “Upon appointment, they will be attending outstanding schools and joining the world’s finest fighting force. I am confident they will serve our country with distinction.”
