The main entrance to Methodist Medical Center will be from Hamilton Blvd. beginning April 1 as Methodist opens its new $11 million entrance and lobby, the $16 million parking garage and an adjoining 1600 square foot skybridge.
Featured in the new lobby will be artwork by local artists, including nature photographs by Tina Gauwitz of NCE Photography and a unique 45 foot long hand blown glass wall sculpture created by Hiram Toraason of Toraason Glass. The glass sculpture will be Peoria’s only hand blown commercial artwork of this size. (more than 240 pieces of blown glass)
For the first time in Peoria, patients entering the hospital will be able to use self service kiosks that feature MyMethodist Express, to make checking in faster and more accurate. Demonstrations of the new system will be available.
Patient’s being admitted to the hospital will now be able to get all pre-admitting testing done in one location, part of the new entrance and lobby configuration.
