Since MARCH IS COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH, Mid Illini Surgical Associates is offering FREE Fecal Occult Blood Testing Kits. Colorectal Cancer is equally common among both men and women and is currently the second leading cancer killer, but regular screenings are a proven tool to prevent – and beat – colorectal cancer. Men and women 50 or older with or without a strong family history should have a screening.
Those interested can visit these locations to receive a free screening kit. Participants will be asked to fill out their demographics, pick up a kit and mail it back for results.
Thursday, March 18, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; Park Court, 600 S. 13th St. in Pekin
Friday, March 19, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; Methodist Atrium, 900 N. Main St. in Peoria
