Welcome Dinner March 12 at United Presbyterian Church from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Seven Wheelchair Basketball teams, including families for a total of 140 people, will enjoy central Illinois hospitality this Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church.
The Rotary Club of Peoria provides an Avanti’s spaghetti dinner that has grown into a tradition for high school wheelchair basketball players, coaches and families who are in Peoria to compete in March Madness. The group had difficulty finding a restaurant location that could accommodate a large number of wheelchairs so the Rotary Club of Peoria began the tradition of hosting the dinner in a church.
The event takes place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 12 at United Presbyterian Church, corner of Allen and Northmoor Roads.
