Highlights of the Call to Action Community forum held on Feb. 13 at the DreamCenter will be aired on CAPtions next week.
The forum, spearheaded by State Sen. David Koehler, State Rep. Jehan Gordon, and PCCEO’s Shwari Chengo project, was designed to bring citizens together for solutions to the increasing problems of violence among youth.
This telecast will feature remarks by Koehler, Gordon, Mayor Jim Ardis, PCCEO President/CEO McFarland Bragg, along with clips of 4 workgroups: Juvenile Justice, Prevention, Ex-Offenders, and Parenting. The show closes out with reports from workgroup mediators with ideas to combat and reduce violence.
A 2nd Call to Action Forum is scheduled for Saturday, March 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the DreamCenter Peoria.
CAPtions will air Sunday, Mar. 14th at 5:00 p.m. on Comcast Cable 22 in Peoria County, Wednesday Mar. 17th at 7:00 p.m. Comcast Cable 22; and 9:00 p.m. ESC-TV Cable 22 in parts of Tazewell County.
