The Peoria Jaycees are proud to announce the 18th Annual International Beer Festival held at Exposition Gardens in Peoria, Illinois on Friday April 23rd and Saturday April 24th, 2010.
For those that enjoy a calmer atmosphere, Friday night is your night! The event will kick-off on Friday night at 6pm with an exclusive and limited event. The event Friday will run until 10pm. Tickets for Friday night are $20 in advance and at the door. Ticket sales are limited to the first 1000 guests! Included in your ticket price is a sampling of Peoria’s best food establishments, including Bar Louie, Kelleher’s Irish Pub & Eatery, Hickory River Smokehouse, The Fox Pub & Café, Cracked Pepper Catering & Bakery, Granite City Food & Brewery, Crusen’s, Old Chicago, Double A’s, Spotted Cow and more TBA. The cool sounds of local favorite band, Elwood will be a great accompaniment to the fine brews and food. Beer tickets are just $5 for 8 or $10 for 16 for 4 oz samples. Over 150 brews will be available for sampling! Each guest on Friday will receive a commemorative beer fest glass! This year’s event will also give guests a chance to select their favorite restaurant food…a People’s Choice Award will be given to the food that strikes a cord in our guests! Proceeds from Friday night will go to benefit the Independent Sportsman’s Club. ISC is a local charity that helps promote and fund youth sports in the Tri-county area.
Saturday is the big event! Beginning at 1pm and running until 9pm; join us, and over 5,000 guests from Peoria and beyond, as we give you the opportunity to sample over 325 beers! Beer connoisseurs, enthusiasts, and anyone interested in broadening their brew horizon are encouraged to join in on the fun! Commemorative sample glasses will be given to the first 4500 guests through the door on Saturday. Saturday tickets are available for $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available at many local outlets, including Old Chicago, Kelleher’s, Rhodell Brewery, and Friar Tuck, as well as PayPal via visiting www.peoriajaycees.org. Beer ticket prices are $5 for 8.
Saturday’s events will include a well stocked concession stand featuring Old Chicago Pizza among other snacks that pair well with beer. Several local bands will be performing in the new and improved Entertainment tent set up between the 2 beer buildings. Slated to entertain us this year are Nootril Drop, B-Driven, Gypsy Road, and Easy Rider, along with the Peoria Area Bagpipers throughout the day! Event apparel and other beer related merchandise will be available throughout the day! Didn’t bring enough cash? No worries, an ATM will be onsite!
As always, a large portion of proceeds from this event will go to local charities. This year’s charities include, the Alta Masonic Lodge to help fund their Child ID program, Independent Sportsman’s Club, Camp New Hope, St Philomena’s Men’s Club, Illinois Jaycees, and the Peoria Jaycees. Entrants must be 21 years old and have valid I.D. Please remember that chairs are prohibited indoors but are allowed in the outdoor area.

The Peoria Jaycees are the premiere young person’s leadership training organization in Central Illinois. We operate several annual fundraisers with proceeds going back into our local community, including the International Beer Festival, Haunted Masquerade Ball, Firecracker 5000 5k/run, and the Lawn Mower Clinic. We also operate a variety of community development projects such as the Distinguished Service Awards Banquet, Easter Egg Hunt, Santa visits the Kids, and Santa’s Lil Helpers.
