Impressive list of speakers for “Transforming Public Education Symposium” to be announced

The future of public education is one of America’s most pressing issues. The Obama administration just released its blueprint to change national education policy and Congress will be addressing this legislation in the very near future.

Please join Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis, Brad McMillan, Executive Director of the Institute for Principled Leadership in Public Service at Bradley University, Frank Mackaman of the Dirksen Congressional Center, and Dean Joan Sattler of Bradley’s College of Education and Health Sciences for a news conference at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 9, in the Wyckoff Room in Cullom-Davis Library on the Bradley campus to discuss the details of the upcoming Transforming Public Education symposium. The symposium will be held on April 21 at the Peoria Civic Center. An impressive list of national, state and regional education experts will join U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan at the event.
