“Shrek” to visit Bradley University on Tuesday, September 7th

Bradley alumnus Eric Petersen, who stars as the loveable leading-man ogre in the national tour of the popular musical, Shrek the Musical, will visit his alma mater to speak to students about his role and his profession on Tuesday afternoon. He will be joined in his campus visit by David F. M. Vaughn, who plays Lord Farquad in the show. Shrek the Musical ended its run at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago on Sunday and makes its next tour stop at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis from September 11 to September 26. It will play in more than 25 U.S. cities before November 2011.

Eric Petersen joined the tour from the Broadway production. He recently appeared as the socially challenged Barfee in the National tour of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Petersen hails from Carol Stream, Illinois where he attended Western Trails Elementary, Stratford Junior High and Glenbard North High School. He received a BS in Theatre Performance from Bradley in 2003.
