Rep. Jehan Gordon is partnering with the Illinois Department of Financial Resources and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, to host “How to Access Capital for Your Business” on Friday, February 10 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Peoria NEXT Innovation Center (801 W. Main Street, Peoria).
“We are happy to be a part of this event,” explains co-host Roberta Parks, President of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce. “It is important for our small business members to explore all banking options to help them be successful.”
In small groups, lenders will have the opportunity to present their loan information to small businesses. Lenders will be moving to groups of small businesses throughout the morning in order for all businesses and lenders to make connections with each other.
“Businesses are facing many different challenges, including finding capital to invest in their company that will allow them to make investments, expand their enterprise, and create jobs,” Gordon said. “The goal of this workshop is to help businesses meet with a variety of lenders and make connections they can use when they area ready to grow. Community leaders have a responsibility to help companies expand and encourage job growth.
