LIFT EVERY VOICE THE MUSIC OF BLACK AMERICANS THROUGH HISTORY

The Peoria Park District’s Proctor Recreation Center will celebrate black history month on Thursday, February 23 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. with the LIFT EVERY VOICE, The Music of Black Americans Through History, featuring musical selections by the Heritage Ensemble. Speaker for the event will be Mrs. Sharon Samuels Reed, Founder and Artistic Director of the Heritage Ensemble. This is a FREE event.

Come enjoy a great celebration of the wonderful music and songs of black Americans in our country! Refreshments will be served.

In conjunction with the event is a Blood Drive sponsored by the American Red Cross and the JEMS Girls Basketball Team. The blood drive will be conducted Saturday, February 25 from 9:00 am-2:00 pm at Proctor Center. Please call to make an appointment at 309-671-9183.
