Peoria Players Theatre will hold its semi-annual Vintage Clothing & Collectibles Sale on Saturday, March 10 from 8:00 am to noon in the theatre lobby. Many unique and hard-to-find items will be for sale and at great prices! There will also be a wide collection of prom dresses, tuxes, mens suits, and furs for sale.
Peoria Players presents the Tony Award-winning musical Big River directed by Chip Joyce. Based on the Mark Twain novel, “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” Big River sweeps down the mighty Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn helps his friend Jim, a slave, escape to freedom. Their adventures along the way are hilarious, suspenseful, and heartwarming. The show features an unforgettable music score from Roger Miller, the “king of country music.” Big River won 7 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Performances are March 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 and 24 at 7:30 pm, and March 18 and 25 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for patrons 18 and under, with a special price of $12 (all ages) for the Wednesday, March 21 performance. Tickets will be on sale March 5.
