This Saturday, beginning at 8:00 a.m., Peoria County employee and board member volunteers, as well as community volunteers, will assist with home improvement projects for Peggy Ewing at her home: 3912 N. Vincent Ave., Peoria Heights. Peoria County has adopted the house in partnership with the not-for-profit “Rebuilding Together-Peoria,” an organization that rehabilitates the homes of low-income homeowners who are elderly or disabled so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety, and independence. The renovation includes making roofing improvements, minor construction and electrical work, and landscaping.
