Dee Mack Student Wins Athlete of the Year and Scholarship

The Hopedale Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Team has selected Dee Mack student-athlete Danny Maurer as the 2012 Student Athlete of the Year. This award is based on excellence in scholarship, community service and athletic performance. Danny has excelled as a 3 sport athlete for all 4 years of high school, participating in football, basketball, and baseball. In addition to athletics, Danny maintains a 4.19/4.0 GPA and has been involved in a wide variety of other extracurricular and service activities including: Big Brothers/Big Sister, Peer Pals, FCA, Yearbook, BETA Club, Student Council, FCCLA, FBLA, and Safe Driver’s Team.

Danny will be recognized for his outstanding performance at a luncheon on May 22 at the Hopedale Wellness Center. He will receive a lump sum $1000 scholarship to the university of his choice. Congratulations to Danny on his achievements during his high school career!

The Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine program at Hopedale Medical Complex is located inside the complex’s state of the art Wellness Center at 222 NW Grove Street in Hopedale. Hopedale is 15 minutes south of Morton off I 155.
