May Seniors on the Go – It’s Free – “Resources for Seniors” and “Living Beyond Grief” Topics
The Hult Health Education Center and Proctor Hospital will present Seniors on the Go on Thursday, May 17 at the Hult Health Education Center. The educational program is free to seniors. Topics will include Resources for Seniors with Ruth Urbanc, Center for Youth and Family Solutions and Sandy Post of neighborhood House from 10:30-11:45 a.m. and Living Beyond Grief with Pamela Shuck-Hoehne, NCC, LCPC, RDDP, Counseling Center at Proctor Hospital from 12:30-1:15 p.m. Lunch is provided from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. To register please call the Hult Health Education Center at (309) 692-6650.
May Coffee Connections Wellness Workshop – Free – Writing from the Heart
The Counseling Center at Proctor Hospital is pleased to offer “Writing From the Heart” as part of the free wellness workshop series, Coffee Connections. Participants will explore different ways of writing to change the way they feel and think about themselves and their life. The workshop will take place Friday, May 18, 2012, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with Wisnu Meier, therapist at Mended Hearts, Inc, presenting. Medicare Help Desk – A Free Community Service
Proctor Hospital is pleased to host the Medicare Help Desk on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the lobby of Proctor Hospital. The Medicare Help Desk is a “Service in the Neighborhood for Seniors” program from BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois, which offers an opportunity to meet face to face with representatives to answer questions and provide information on Medicare and Supplemental Insurance. Medicare Help Desk is offered the fourth Wednesday of every month at Proctor Hospital. No appointment is necessary. For more information, call (800) 382-4548.
