The Peoria Park District’s newly renovated Kellogg Golf Course will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at the course.
Kellogg will open to the public with a Grand Opening Public Shotgun start at noon on Friday, May 25.
Kellogg 18 has been closed since the fall of 2011 in order to accommodate the renovation. This included converting the greens and fairways to bent grass, constructing new sand bunkers, and forming the greens into creative layouts. An improved drainage system was installed, including a new retention pond. The clubhouse received a facelift, consisting of updating the bathrooms, a new television, new fixtures, and new furniture.
