Veterans Dedication at NOSC Peoria

Navy Operational Support Center Peoria will be having a ceremony to reveal a newly built Veteran’s Dedication at the Center on SATURDAY, May 19, 2012 at 1p.m. This dedication is in remembrance of all of the central Illinois Veterans who have sacrificed in defending and preserving our country and freedom. The ceremony should last between 30-45 minutes. We would greatly appreciate your presence at the dedication.

BACKGROUND: Peoria and Central Illinois has been a strong military area for over 100+ years. The U.S. Navy wants to recognize local military Veterans for all of their support. This project has been in the works since October 2011 and it is finally coming to a close. The U.S. Navy has reached out to over 10 different Veterans organizations in the local area to come out. Around 300+ people to attend along with Congressman Schock’s Military and Veterans Policy Advisor Nate Hurn and State Senator Darin LaHood.
