The Peoria Park District will sponsor the 2012 Hershey Track & Field Meet on Saturday, June 2 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Peoria Stadium. The event is free, but registration is required.
Boys and girls ages 9-14 (as of 12/31/12), can compete in the nation’s largest youth track and field program sponsored by the Hershey Corporation, Peoria Park District and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association.
Events include the 50, 100, 200 and 400 meter dash, 800 and 1600 meter run, 4×100 meter relay, standing long jump and softball throw. Winners advance to the state meet to compete for a trip to Nationals in Hershey, PA.
Registration forms are available at the Glen Oak Park Pavilion or print one from our website at http://www.peoriaparks.org/running. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required.
