The Great Work Begins, a new Peoria-area theatre troupe, will present Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream June 2 – 3 at Camp Wokanda in Chillicothe, IL. Admission is free to this family-friendly show, which is sure to delight Shakespeare newcomers and fans alike. There will be two performances on Saturday, June 2 at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM and one show on Sunday, June 3 at 2:30 PM. Voluntary donations to Camp Wokanda will be collected before each performance. This production is the debut production for The Great Work Begins. This grass-roots theatre troupe spent the last few months gathering and directing a cast of 21 talented actors and rehearsing in any space they could find; one night a grocery store, the next a porch in a park. The troupe is excited to welcome families and individuals to experience its own style of spontaneous theatre.
