Topics covered may include, but are not limited to, borrowing books from the library, transferring personal files to your device, personalizing your settings, or purchasing books from the Nook store. Taste the Book! – Lakeview Branch – Winners announced and tasting at 6 p.m.
Create an edible book! Choose a book title and create something that relates to it out of edible materials! It may look like a book, be inspired by a book or be a pun on a book title. Create a frosted confection or use carved vegetables. As long as it is edible, the sky is the limit. Based on the International Edible Book Festival, this local version celebrates Summer Reading 2012 – Reading is SO Delicious! Drop off entries between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., judging is at 3 pm with winners announced at 6 p.m. and the entries served. Entry forms available at www.peoriapubliclibrary and every library location. June 13 – Main Library Gallery Walk and Talk 2:00PM – 2:30PM
Join us the 2nd Wednesday of every month for a “walk and talk” of the Peoria Public Library Main Library Gallery. You’ll get a personalized tour of the exhibit and a reading list to enhance the display. Be certain to drop by every month so you can see the changing exhibits.
