Peoria County Farm Bureau Celebrates 100 Years of Service

The Peoria County Farm Bureau is celebrating a Century of Service (100 Years) to our community. In recognition of this milestone, a celebration will be held at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie on Saturday, June 23, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

A Tractor Parade will take place through Peoria from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a Tractor Show to follow from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A Toy Show will be held inside at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie (vacant Borders Bookstore on the southeast area of the Shoppes) from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. A pedal tractor course will welcome children to play as a big farmer for the day. There will also be a garden tractor course set up. A variety of Fun OnThe Run inflatables will welcome children. These will include a Giant Slide with dual lanes, Tony’s Tool Town Playground, Clarabelle the Milking Cow, and Rainbow Room Bouncer.

Local farmers will be bringing animals. These include a cow, pigs, sheep, horse, pony, and chickens. Local farm businesses will display farm equipment, and businesses that offer a Farm Bureau discount will also be exhibiting. Rabers porkburgers, Kitchen Cooked chips, Prairie Farms Ice Cream, lemonade, and ice tea will be served from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. The entire event is FREE to the public.
