Help Peoria Promise Win $15,000 on June 14th
On June 14th, Peoria Promise Foundation will be competing in Twive and Receive (www.TwiveAndReceive.org) (pronounced like “Give and Receive), a massive one-day social media based fundraising contest to support nonprofits in different cities across the country. Twive and Receive was created by Razoo, a social fundraising platform for individuals and nonprofits.
In cities across the country, organizations are rallying their followers on Twitter, Facebook and other social media to donate as much as possible to their chosen local charity on June 14th in the hopes of securing an additional cash award.
At 12AM Pacific Time on June 14th, the fundraising competition begins. The top three charities that raise the most will get a share of the $30,000 prize money.
· 1st place: $15,000
· 2nd place: $10,000
· 3rd place: $5,000
Peoria Promise Foundation is leading the charge to show the country that Peoria, IL is the most giving city!! Here’s how you can help:
1. On June 14th, go to www.peoriapromise.org and donate $10 or more to Peoria Promise.
2. Spread the word to your friends and family on Twitter, Facebook, email, and any other network you use.
In just its fourth year, Peoria Promise has sent over 1,000 students to college! Peoria Promise Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to support economic development through education by providing scholarships to ICC for Peoria public school graduates. Our goals are quite simple:
Provide an abundant, better trained, highly educated workforce, which leads to a more employable and productive pool of employee candidates
A better educated, gainfully employed population leads to lower crime rates
A city with an educated, well trained, employed population is more desirable place to live and do business.
