The Peoria Historical Society’s newly-elected officers and trustees take office at their June 20 meeting. Russ Crawford of East Peoria will serve as president, with Mark Johnson of Peoria as vice-president. Both are Caterpillar retirees. Deborah Dougherty of Princeville, associate professor in ICC’s Social Studies department, continues as secretary, with Jim Carballido of Caterpillar as treasurer. Past-president Sid Ruckriegel will also serve as PHS representative on the board of the Peoria Riverfront Museum, succeeding Bernie Drake.
New trustees include CEFCU VP Jeff Thomas of Mason City, businessman Matt LaHood of Washington, marketer Steven Streight of Peoria, Stacey Peterson of Peoria Public Library, Gerd Prewitt of Germantown, retired Human Service Center CFO, and AdCo’s Kevin Kizer of Peoria.
