Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PCAPS) received notification of a stray horse near Elmwood on Meehan Road on Wednesday, June 27. A nearby resident corralled the horse in a pasture for its protection. PCAPS is currently looking for the owner of the horse. The resident has agreed to hold the animal while PCAPS searches for the owner.
The horse is a chestnut filly or mare, approximately 14 hands high, with four white socks, and a blaze on its face. The horse is not wearing a halter. Please see picture below.
