ntral Illinois announced 10 winning works and artists for the 2025 Sky Art Peoria program, made possible in partnership with Adams Outdoor Advertising.
In the adult division, the six winning artists:
Rosemarie Adcock (“The Feeding of the 5000”), Connie Andrews (“A Simple Gift”), Jordan Delgadillo (“Hang On”), Preston Jackson (various bronze sculptures), Lori Luthy (“String of Pears”), and Leslie Schenkel (“Three Voices”).
In the student divisions, two artists younger than 18 also were selected: Allesandra Carmona (“Sunday”) and Sameera Josh (“Face to Face”).
Also, one adult and one student were picked to have their artwork transformed into vinyl wraps displayed on the brick walls of the Skylight Lobby at the Peoria Civic Center: adult Jaton Sales (“Reflected in Youth”) and student Jack Couri (“Jungle Dusk”).
“Nationally recognized artists like Preston Jackson alongside locally celebrated artists demonstrate the high level of creativity and expression in our region,” commented Sky Art Peoria committee chair Everley Davis. “Dynamic student submissions from second generation artists like Allessandra Carmona and Jack Couri show promise that our arts community will continue to be nurtured and thrive.”
The 10th anniversary of Sky Art Peoria, the program displays and promotes art from talented local artists who submit their artwork for review, and winning billboard selections will be reproduced on 48- x 14-foot vinyls that will rotated on eight Adams Outdoor billboards.
