The Watch: ICC Board of Trustees works to provide housing for students

At the May 15 meeting of the Illinois Central College Board of Trustees, members gave an update on the housing dilemma.

There are seven options for student housing, but many will be housed at Bradley University and Methodist College. The administration met with CityLink to work out plans for transportation. The ICC Foundation will provide financial assistance to help students who may not have received their financial aid before they have to sign a new lease agreement. Assistance will be provided on an individual basis and repaid once students secure financial aid.

The ICC Foundation, along with the school’s administration, closed the student housing near the East Peoria campus without consulting the Board of Trustees.
