Director of Airports Gene Olson reported at the Dec. 15 meeting of the Metropolitan Airport Authority of Peoria that the November passenger record of 62,474 moved the yearly record at Gen. Wayne A. Dowling Airport to more than 700,000 travelers. That passed the previous record set in 2019.

Manager of Marketing & Public Relations Cheryl Bockhold-Sloan said a party was planned for January to celebrate breaking the yearly passenger record.
