Cincinnati Insurance Company’s lawsuit against WTVP’s former Director of Finance and Human Resources, Linda McLaughlin, and the estate of the late Lesley Matuszak, WTVP’s former CEO, will continue later this month, as Judge Timothy Cusack’s case management conference Aug. 22 agreed to delay any action to a status hearing on Sept. 19.

CIC is seeking $250,000 plus lawyers’ fees and costs to recover money paid to the public television station for a loss of money stemming from spending called embezzlement by police.
Representing both McLaughlin and the Matuszak estate, Peoria attorney Philip O’Donnel has entered a motion to dismiss the case.
