March 17th—St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held in Downtown Peoria for the St. Patrick’s Day Holiday. For more information, contact the city of Peoria for the parade time.

March 18th – “IHSA Scholastic Bowl State Finals” are being presented at the Peoria Civic Center. For more information, contact the Peoria Civic Center box office.

March 18th-20th—Corn Stock Theatre presents “5 Women Wearing the Same Dress”. For more show information, contact the Corn Stock Theatre for show times and admission.

March 19th—“Annual Photography Seminar Featuring International Photographer David duChemin” from 9:00 pm – 4:30 pm at the Illinois Central College Performing Arts Center. The Peoria Camera Club will be hosting its annual photography seminar featuring photographer, David duChemin (pronounced “Dooshman”), at the Illinois Central College main campus. DuChemin will speak to seminar attendees about discovering and developing their own photographic vision in order to tell narratives and create great images worthy of a viewer’s attention. Doors will open at 8 a.m. and lunch and refreshments will be provided during breaks in the presentation. Advanced sale tickets are $70.00 for general public and $35.00 for full-time students and are required by March 9, 2011. After this date, general public tickets will be $80.00. March 19th—“The Remarkable Reptiles Exhibit” is being presented at the Peoria Glen Oak Zoo from 11:00 am– 2:00 pm. From snakes and turtles, don’t miss your chance to find out more about the fascinating world of reptiles. We’ll have animal encounters and talks throughout the day as well as a snake feeding at 1:00 p.m. Regular zoo admission applies. March 20th—“Masako Johnson’s Vocal Offerings From Around the World” will be presented at the Universalist Unitarian Church on 3000 W. Richwoods Blvd. at 3:00 pm with a reception following the concert that is open to the public. Offerings are accepted at the event. Masako will perform Japanese and French Art Songs, Scottish Folk Songs and Japanese songs and Opera Aria accompanied by Molly Sloter. For more information, call: (309)-688-5608.
