Softball time is almost here and the Peoria Park District offers two different programs.
Gather your friends and get a team together for Adult Slow-Pitch Softball. Get in the swing of things with this 14-game season starting April 11. Leagues are offered Sunday through Thursday evenings. Games will be played at Peoria Stadium.
Fees for Men’s 12″ is $350 for residents and $380 for non-residents. Fees for the Co-Rec 12″, Men’s 16″ and Co-Rec 16″ are $275 for residents and $305 for non-residents. Teams that register after March 25 must add $25. Player fees are $17 for residents and $24 for non-residents.
Want to play softball but can’t commit to a full season? Try the new Short Season Slow-Pitch Softball league. It offers a shorter, seven-game season that runs from May 8 through June 19. Games will be played Sunday evenings.
Both the short-season Men’s 12″ and Co-Rec 12″ have team fees of $185 for residents, and $200 for non-residents. Player fees are $11 for residents and $16 for non-residents.
Registration packets for both programs are available at the Recreation Office in Glen Oak Park Pavilion. Softball registration begins Monday, Feb. 14 and continues until leagues fill. For more information, call 681-2867 or visit www.peoriaparks.org.
