D.I.N.K.S – When a childless freelance writer, who lives with his wife in a predominantly family-oriented suburb of Chicago, decides to write articles about discrimination against married couples without children, his career skyrockets him to local fame as the leader of a citywide D.I.N.K.s movement that suddenly lands him in court for slander when one of his articles involves the town’s Mayor. Director Robert Alaniz will attending along with Executive Producer, Max Nayden. So far, the actors will include Jayson Bernard, Jeff La See and Michael Stoskus.
The Music Never Stopped – Tale of a father who struggles to bond with his estranged son Gabriel, after Gabriel suffers from a brain tumor that prevents him from forming new memories. With Gabriel unable to shed the beliefs and interests that caused their physical and emotional distance, Henry must learn to embrace his son’s choices and try to connect with him through music.
Earthwork – Starts June 17 EARTHWORK is the story of real-life crop artist Stan Herd. In 1994, Stan traveled from Kansas to New York City and risked everything to create a massive environmental artwork on land owned by Donald Trump. The multi-acre piece was made from soil, rock, plants and vegetation near an underground railway tunnel. Stan recruited a number of homeless individuals living in the tunnel as his crew. Over the months it took to complete the earthwork, Stan dealt with the difficulties of bringing his unique, rural art form to an urban canvas and the many costs exacted upon his life. In an effort to show his unique perspective to a larger audience, Stan unexpectedly encountered the true meaning of his art and its ultimate lasting rewards.
The Big Uneasy – Starts June 17 – Written and directed by Harry Shearer (Simpsons and Spinal Tap) and featuring John Goodman moderating local residents and authorities as to what really happened when Hurricane Katrina leveled a city in 2005.
