happeningAug 5 – World Travelers – 2pm – 3pm – Grades 3-7. Experience cultures from around the world! Meet people from other countries, taste new food, and try crafts and games. Register by August 1st, Call for more info.

Aug 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26th – Preschool Story Time – Stories, music, crafts and other fun activities! For ages 3-5 and their caregivers. Upcoming Dates: 10:15am Thursdays, August 7th, 14th and 21st and… 6:30pm Tuesdays, August 12th, 19th and 26th

Aug 8, 15, 22nd – Storytots Story/Play Time – Caregivers are invited to bring children ages 18-35 months for a story program followed by open play time. 10:15am Fridays, August 8th, 15th and 22nd

Aug 9 – Super Smash Bros. Tournament – 9:30am – 10:30am Crash Course: Learn the basics; 10:30am – 1:30pm Tournament. Bring your own controller if you have one. (Nintendo Wii or Gamecube) -Snacks provided, but feel free to bring something to share. Teens only. Register by August 7th

Aug 11 & 25 – Sign and Sing Story Time – 10:30am Wednesdays, August 11th and 25th.
Ages 0-5. Join Abbey Cook of Communication Junction for a 30 minute interactive Story Time designed to engage your child and encourage their love of books. Each Sign and Sing Story Time is created around a theme and filled with stories, songs, movement and bubbles! This program made possible by the Dr. Harold Johnson Memorial Fund.

Aug 13 – Lego Club – 3:45pm – We’ll supply the legos – you bring your imagination! Monthly building challenge and free creation time!

Aug 25 – Books + Tea – “Where’d You Go Bernadette?” by Maria Semple. Books+Tea is a book club for adults who enjoy reading and discussing a variety of books. We meet from 6:30 to 7:30pm one Monday a month at the Chillicothe Public Library. Join us for tea, refreshments, and stimulating conversation! Call for more Info!

Sept 4 – Astronomy for Everyone – 7:00pm – 8:30pm. All ages are welcome to this exciting program by Star Tour USA! Following an indoor presentation by astronomer Kevin Manning, we’ll go outdoors to view celestial objects in the night sky (weather permitting). Tickets are free but required. The can be picked up at the library or reserved by calling 274-2719 before August 30th.
