There’s no way we can keep living like the last book of the Bible is fiction. It isn’t. It is now our daily news.
If you’ve ever stepped into a church, been to Sunday School or cracked open a Bible, you know it’s real. But trust me when I say that what we are seeing now are just the “birth pangs” of something far worse on the horizon for planet earth.
Lately I’ve been buried in books, gobbling them down like a starving child. I want to know what’s going on around me, what’s coming at us, what’s going down and what I should do about it. Don’t you?
Don’t ignore this, don’t pretend it isn’t happening. Get out of that safe, happy, American church mentality and look around. It’s here. It’s the beginning of the end.
I was reading this morning about when the Church – the Body of Christ – will be raptured from the earth. The writer used the illustration of a baby being formed in the womb of its mother and how the birth pangs don’t come until every part of that baby is formed, and when that baby is ready, ‘ain’t nothing stopping it!
The author said, when the last part of the Body of Christ is formed–when that last Believer says YES to Jesus Christ, the trumpet will sound and He will catch up His Bride in the air. WHAT RAPTURE THAT WILL BE!
Have you said Yes to Jesus? If you haven’t, you will not escape what will happen next.
I read further and the writer referred to the verse in Revelation about Satan being cast out of Heaven for the last time–knowing he only has 3-1/2 years to destroy as much of God’s creation as possible. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time. Revelation 12:12b
But that is only half the story. Remember the phrase, the grapes of wrath? That would be God’s wrath–His righteous wrath that will pour judgment on mankind for all the atrocities, all the sin, all the wickedness of those who rejected His Son.
The wrath of a desperate, wicked, furious demon and the righteous, all-powerful, Creator of the Universe poured out simultaneously onto little planet earth: that’s what is coming. Not even Hollywood could portray on film what will hit the earth during those 3-1/2 years. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be, said Jesus in Matthew 24:21.
Okay–that’s beyond what my brain can take in. So, here’s what we must do: purify ourselves. Like a bride-to-be, we must prepare ourselves for our wedding with our King.
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:2-3
Don’t ignore it. Don’t go on to the next article or set down this paper. Get pure. Get alone with God and let Him tell you what you need to change in your lifestyle, what you need to dislodge from your mind, what you need to clean from your heart.
Don’t wait. That last Believer could be on his knees right now saying YES to Jesus, and, when his breath finishes uttering that word, the last trumpet will sound and we will all be gone in the blink of an eye.
