Volunteer Emergency Service Award Winner

Richard “Dick” Archibald of Brimfield was recently presented with Peoria County Farm Bureau’s Volunteer Emergency Service Award at their annual meeting.

Dick has been a member of the Brimfield Community Fire Protection District for over 50 years and is a First Responder EMS.

The award is a public way of expressing gratitude and respect to volunteers in rural areas and small towns who put out fires, rescue and care for us when accidents occur, and are the first responders during a health crisis.

Dick Archibald  retired from the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department after 26 years of service.  He is a member of the Peoria County Sheriff’s Posse, Illinois Police Association, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Moose, Hanna City Sportmen’s Club, Brimfield Men’s Club, and Sons of the American Legion.

Dick was presented with a gift certificate and plaque at the annual meeting.  Peoria County Farm Bureau also made a monetary donation to the Brimfield Community Fire Protection District to help pay for future training.
