Fine Arts Society of Peoria presents lecture by Dr. Robert McCarter “The Architecture of Carlo Scarpa: Recomposing Place, Intertwining Time, Transforming Reality,” 10 a.m. May 13 via Zoom. Register at FineArtsSociety.net.

“Seen but not Felt” will be virtually exhibited all month at Bradley University’s Heuser Art Center via https://art.bradley.edu/bug/2021/03/seen-but-not-felt/. Curated by Hattie Lee, the show reflects the impact of COVID-19 on society: empty galleries with art seen through screens or windows without benefiting from people’s physical presence. Includes a collaboration of artists across various media.

Peoria Heights Fine Art Fair, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday May 22 on Prospect Road between Glen and Seiberling avenues. Approximately 60 juried artists will sell original work in a variety of media. Admission is free and parking is available.

Film

The classic “Blue Angel” May 14 at the Riverfront Museum’s giant-screen theater as part of “Marc Eliot’s Art of Film” series. The best-selling author and film critic will virtually introduce the 1930 drama starring Marlene Dietrich and will comment after the 104-minute screening.

Music

Heartland Festival Orchestra season finale “Blue Sky” May 15, 7:30 p.m. with guest artist violin soloist Tessa Lark.

Dorann & the Soul Mystics will present their distinctive R&B “Live at the Five Spot” at the Contemporary Arts Center on May 28.

Theater

Corn Stock Theater for ONE NIGHT ONLY May 29 is presenting a virtual performance of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize-nominated “Talk Radio,” about a controversial Cleveland talk-radio host who berates callers and hopes for national syndication.
