Much appreciation and thanks to all West Peorians who volunteered this spring for the Clean Up Day, Neighborhood Garage Sales and the Fourth of July. Yards also look especially well kept as the Fourth approaches.
Neighborhood Watch is planned for Aug 13 at City Hall. Check the website to see who will be presenting. No one has been scheduled at the time of writing.
Tuesday, August 2, is planned for our 39th annual Night Out against crime. West Peoria is joining with 17,000 other communities. Watch for many activities planned for this date.
Take A Bus
Our lives have changes with COVID-19 and inflation, including the rising prices of gas. The Greater Mass Transit District has been making many changes. Prior to the pandemic the District better known as CityLink had begun making bus route changes, making the system operate more comfortably, efficiently and by cutting time on routes and running them more frequently. They also acquired four electric buses with environmental features.
A massive reconstruction of the CityLink campus is underway with improved environmental equipment and building. Check on news at the website: ridecitylink.org. You will be able to function within our community traveling in many new services. Take the time to enjoy and bring someone with you.
Back to School
Take a quick glimpse of the new Peoria Public Schools fall schedule now to make certain you are aware. We don’t want any students to miss the first day of classes on August 3!
