It’s all happening at the West Peoria Fire Department’s Family Day from noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Fire House. This event is a unique and exciting opportunity to meet the heroes who keep us safe and learn important fire safety tips.
TRILLIUM PLACE PRESENTS: Are you looking to learn more about mental health resources in our community? Join the West Peoria Residents Association at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at West Peoria City Hall. Dr. Derrick Booth, Executive Director of Community Services at Trillium Place-Carle Health, will be giving a presentation about the upcoming opening of Trillium Place and the vital services they’ll provide. Refreshments will be served, so come ready to ask questions and learn how to support this community resource.
SANDWICH DAY: On Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., head to the Sandwich Day event outside the Owl’s Nest on Callendar Ave. It’s a mouth-watering way to support the West Peoria Fire Department, so come hungry and ready to enjoy some tasty eats.
MONEY CENTER: No more driving all over town to find an ATM! The Bank of Farmington opened its new ATM with live teller access in the lot west of the current city building. This means you can quickly manage your finances with the convenience of a live teller right there. Setting up an account is as simple as calling (309) 306-8939. Brook was able to get an account set up that day and Lacy helped make a first deposit using the live teller option at the ATM.
GOLF CLASSIC: Calling all golfers! Tee off for a fantastic cause at the Fifth Annual West Peoria Golf Classic at Madison Golf Course. Last year’s event raised $11,056 for the West Peoria Fire Department. This year’s tournament takes place on Saturday, Oct. 12.
