Woodruff Career and Technical Center representatives attended Peoria Public Schools board meeting on May 11 to showcase students’ achievements in both culinary arts and barbering, highlighting their success in regional and state competitions.
At the Illinois ProStart Invitational in Chicago, the restaurant management team earned first place in the state for the
10th consecutive year. The five-student culinary team also performed exceptionally well, earning second place overall.
The Watch: Projects are booked for the season
In addition, 14 students competed at the SkillsUSA Illinois State Leadership and Skills Conference, with nine students qualifying to compete at the National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta in June.
